How to Turn Off (Hide) the Hidden Album on iPhone

Hiding photos is one thing, but the "Hidden" album itself still shows in your Albums tab, which can invite a look. Here is how to make it disappear entirely.

Turn off Show Hidden Album

Open Settings → Photos.
Scroll down and turn off Show Hidden Album.

The Hidden album vanishes from Albums → Utilities. There is now no "Hidden" folder for anyone to spot.

Getting to your hidden photos again

When the album is off, your hidden photos are still safe — you just cannot see the album. To reach them, go back to Settings → Photos and turn Show Hidden Album back on. It reappears, still locked with Face ID on iOS 16+.
